The New Champ Clark Bridge video was created as an educational piece to both tell the history of the original Champ Clark Bridge and to celebrate the opening of the newly built Champ Clark Bridge that now serves as its replacement.

The bridge, located on Highway 54 in northeast Missouri, is a vital piece of infrastructure to the community. It connects Louisiana, Missouri with Atlas Township, Illinois.

The dedication and ribbon cutting for the new Champ Clark Bridge occurred on August 3, 2019.
The target audience for the video is anyone interested in the history of the Champ Clark Bridge, specifically those who live in the northeast area of Missouri and the western side of Illinois who use the bridge for frequent travel.
The video has been viewed nearly 1,600 times on MoDOT's YouTube channel since it was published on August 2, 2019. It begins with the history of the original Champ Clark Bridge and includes historic photos, interviews and personal stories from members of the Louisiana, Missouri community. It gives the viewer a clear picture of what the bridge means to the people who live there and how it continues to be such an important structure in the region. The video was finished and posted the day before the ribbon cutting and dedication of the new bridge.
The New Champ Clark Bridge video was accomplish by a small team of three individuals who contacted and interviewed residents in the Louisiana community, gathered the resources, wrote and narrated the script and edited the final story together. All in time for the dedication ceremony and ribbon cutting on the new bridge.
The New Champ Clark Bridge video serves as an elegant tribute to such an important structure in northeast Missouri. Viewers can see the wealth of history behind the bridge and the meaning it has to the community while celebrating its future.
