Partnership for a Drug-Free New Jersey
The goal of the vaping campaign posters was to make New Jersey middle school students aware of the dangers associated with vaping devices or e-cigarettes. Vaping among students is on the rise, with one in four high school students reporting using an e-cigarette in 2019. The Partnership for a Drug-Free New Jersey looked to raise awareness, educate and deter students from vaping.
Middle school students throughout the state of New Jersey were the target audience for this campaign.
The vaping campaign posters were distributed to 3,558 middle schools throughout New Jersey. The Partnership for a Drug-Free New Jersey met the objectives of reaching school-aged children in an educational environment and delivered a clear message to educate today’s youth about the dangers of vaping. Schools received the posters and a survey on their students shortly before mandated shut-down due to COVID-19 and therefore results are not available.
The Partnership for a Drug-Free New Jersey is a private not-for-profit with a small staff of eight people. We do not have a large budget to work with, but are still able to produce impactful public service campaigns. Vaping has become popular with children and being able to reach them by working with different schools and districts throughout the state was an important part of what made this a success.
The Partnership for a Drug-Free New Jersey vaping posters educate students about the dangers of getting involved with vaping and e-cigarettes and educates today’s youth to make healthy choices for themselves.
